Two Pairs of Beauties!
I received these two wonderful 7.5" blocks from Jane in the UK. The color just doesn't show up quite right because they are really a pretty soft sea foam green. Thank you so very much, Jane!
I received these two beautiful 12" blocks from Blondie. She included a darling little birdie magnet that I now have hanging on my fridge. Thank you so very much, Blondie!
Hugs,

A block received, Mother's Day and news
happy Mother's Day everyone.
I received a block from Pat Smith in the mail yesterday; my camera is needing more than batteries I think. I may have to borrow my DD's until I know what is wrong with my own digital. I am hoping it is just the user.
Thank you Pat for a lovely block!
Ladies, I have sent Shauna an email to inform her that this has been my last month swapping here.
I believe I have over extended myself a bit much for what is on my personal plate.
It has been my pleasure to share some of my stash, time and blocks with you. I know that I will be seeing some of you in other block swaps we share in together.
Many blessings to each of you.

April Blocks Already!
I was quite surprised yesterday when the mail brought me my April blocks!!
These are from Coralie and they are perfect!
I love how she put a bit of art framed in the center. She also ironed the seams open and I am impressed with how flat it lays. I may have to try that sometime.

Making HST - Half Square Triangles - Updated
I just thought that I would add a little not about the Half Square Triangles. I guess I really never read the instructions on how to make the HST or just thought that every one knows how to do these.... Well I am deeply sorry for those who do not - I was there in June and have now become a master at this....
Cutting your fabric:
Method 1
Light 3 ½” x 7” rectangle, cut 2 squares – 3 3/8” x 3 3/8”. From the medium/dark 3 ½” x 7” rectangle, cut 2 squares – 3 3/8” x 3 3/8”. Cut each square once on the diagonal to make two triangles. With right sides together, match on light triangle to on medium/dark triangle. Sew a scant ¼” seam allowance on the long edge of the triangles. Press seam toward the medium/dark fabric
Method 2
Light 3½”x 7” rectangle and on medium/dark 3 ½” x 7” rectangle in half to make four squares measuring 3 ½” x 3 ½”. Mark a diagonal line on the wrong side of the light square from one corner to the opposing corner. Align a light square to a medium/dark square with the right sides together. Sew a scant ¼” seam allowance on both sides of the drawn line. Cut apart on the drawn line and press the seams toward the medium/dark fabric. Using a small square ruler, trim the half-triangle square to measure 3” x 3”
I have done both and methods and 2 works best for me.
I hope that this helps.
I have a few additions to add to this, I hope this will help

Swap Update
The swap is going to start the week of Valentines Day. With the number of people interested in each size, we will be making 2 blocks per a swap, it will be a monthly swap.
This block will be on going so people can always join any time, I just choose a start date that would allow us to get interested parties.
I will get the lists out to all parties, who have joined with whom they are going to swap with that month. So for the first swap, seeing how it will be at mid month, the blocks will be for the month of March, so you will have a month and a little bit to create your block.
I will be sending out the swap partners around the 25th of each month for the next month.
Thank you all for joining and being patience with me in this process, as it is new to me as well.
